The Full Story
Founded in 1989 by Don and Dee Ross and a group of individuals in Clark County, the Humane Society of Clark County was established in Arkadelphia Arkansas. Our goal is to rescue, heal, restore confidence and find wonderful homes for the many homeless animals in Clark County, Arkansas. We are the only 501 c3 no-kill animal shelter in Clark County. We are non-profit organization dependent on donations, fundraising and grants. With the support of businesses and individuals, we have continued hope for our homeless pet population, and any donations helps. Our team is passionate about animal welfare and works tirelessly to ensure that every animal receives the care and attention they deserve. Back in 2005, through fundraising and a grant from the Cabe Foundation, our current building was purchased. We believe in the power of adoption and strive to find loving forever homes for all the animals in our shelter. Our story is one of compassion, dedication, and the unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of animals. The long-term goal is to be able to build a new shelter somewhere the dogs can run around as well as be more financial obtainable regarding the buildings up keep. Join us in our mission to create a better world for all. Please visit our donation page to learn how you can donate.
